Half Way There

Wow! I can't believe that I am half way done with this pregnancy. It seems to be going by so fast! I am enjoying it. I feel really good. All is well. Thank you, Lord, for a wonderful last pregnancy! I am excited to see what it is (even though I KNOW it's a girl!) in a couple of weeks. I promise I will let every one know for sure as soon as we get the results. I am so glad I can enjoy this time and not wish it was over so quickly. It is so neat to have someone growing inside of you. What a miracle!

I have really good kids.

After I gave Emily and Hayley their lunch, I told them to go lie down when they were done eating. While I was eating lunch, I got on FB. I noticed it was quiet after some time. I just went to check on them and they are

fast asleep.

Wow. Thank God for my independently obedient kids!

She's got freckles on her...

Disclosure
(I hope no one is offended by the contents of this blog. It is in no way intended to do so. I just believe I need to give background before the story.)

Background
I had a warped childhood. Instead of nursery rhymes my mother taught us weird little sayings and songs, i.e., (poetically) "One bright day in the middle of the night, two dead boys got up to fight. The deaf policeman heard this noise, came and killed those two dead boys. If you don't believe this lie is true, ask the blind man, she saw it, too." A song she taught us was, "She's got freckles on her, but (pun intended) she is pretty." Now remember, I am WARPED... I actually taught this "freckles" song to my oldest daughter (7) because she is at the age where she "gets it". We can sing it together and it is funny. She understands the humor. Unfortunately, I forgot that there are four other ears!

Funny Story
A few weeks ago, I wasn't feeling very good on a Wednesday night, so Tom took the girls to church and I stayed home. I was lying in bed when they walked in the door and Hayley said, out of the clear blue, "You got freckles on your butt, Mom." I laughed out loud! I know my 2 year old should not be saying "butt", however it was funny!

I hope someone got a chuckle out of this and that I am not disappointing anyone with my mothering!

You live and learn, right?

The house is so quiet!

The girls are at Grammy's. Tom is at work. Here I sit, missing them all. I guess I really do enjoy having my kids around! It is nice to have a break from the daily grind; it really makes you appreciate what you have. I am blessed to have my beautiful, sweet, precious, little monkies! I am going to enjoy the quiet for the next couple of days and then I will be so glad to have them home!

Jesus Never Fails

Just thought I would post something. I don't really have much going on, but it HAS been a while. Umm, let's see... I am still pregnant and everything seems to be going well. I feel really good. Sometimes I even forget there is a bun in the oven! I am very tired though. I can't seem to get enough rest.

I am hoping to finish catching up on both housework and sleep next week while my kiddos are at Grammy's. I am dropping them off on Monday and picking them up on Friday. It should be a restful week. I hope! The kids are so looking forward to visiting with Grammy and Papa and eating "fruit roll ups"! Of all the things...

Last night we went to the city of Porterville for a fellowship meeting/Anniversary service at Bro. Kendrick's church. Bro. Noe Trevino preached. He preached about a "perverted gospel of accomadation that is being preached by men that are wolves in sheep's clothing". It was a really wonderful service. A girl that has been coming to church with one of our young people was at the altar. She is a very sweet girl. I am praying that God will fill her to overflowing! From what I understand, she would be an awesome soul-winner! It is exciting to see what God is doing all around us! We have heard some really awesome preaching at our home church, too. Pastor Weidner is really a great man of God. I am thankful that, in these changing times, he is staying true to the Word of God.

I just have to give a little testimony: God has really kept his hand on us. We moved about a year ago to a house that fit us a lot better. However, this caused our rent to increase almost double. That is a big jump! Anyhow, God has sustained us! We have made the rent and still been able to pay all our other expenses. I know that may not sound all that amazing, but to us that is wonderful! We have not had to eat Top Ramen or rice and beans yet! Thank you, Jesus! "You don't know like I do, what He's done for me!"

Yesterday, I was at Wal-mart with a friend and my husband called me with some disturbing news. I started to stress out because I knew my hubby was upset. I didn't know what to do or say. I just said to God, I don't know how it will work, but I know that you will take care of us. I still don't know what is going to take place, however I have confidence that God WILL take care of us! If you, my dear readers and friends, could say a little prayer for us, I would so greatly appreciate it. I KNOW God is able! Thanks!

Wow! And I thought I had nothing to say...
